Sprinklers for Africa
was established in 1989 by
the late Stephen Loeb, and
became a formal business with a
Vat number in
1994. Our focus
has always been on striving for
excellence in Quality of Work
and Customer Service. We by
choice use Rain Bird Irrigation
Products. Rain Bird invented the
Sprinkler in 1902, and with 28
factories worldwide, remains the
market leader in product design
and quality.
In 1996, Stephen's brother
Mark joined
the operation, and
after training and field work
experience, became manager of
the operation in 2001, when
Stephen opened
up our second
branch in Plettenberg Bay, due
to extensive customer requests.
Mark Loeb has been running the
operation to date, and the
coastal branch has been sold and
although it still carries our
name, is not connected to our
operation in any way.
Sprinklers For Africa has
several awards under our belt
for Quality and Excellence of
work. We have 5 national awards,
both Gold and Silver; from the
Landscape Irrigation Association
of SA, of which we are a
Corporate Member and adhere
strictly to all its rules and
regulations, as well has having
been the first winner of the SA
Gardening Floating Trophy for
Service and Excellence. In 2006
we were selected as Africa
Contractor of the Year, by SA Plastikor, South Africa's only
Irrigation Wholesaler, whose
footprint stretches throughout
Africa, and as far as the
Seychelles and Mauritius.
Our work entails
new
installations for Residential
and Small to Medium Commercial
operations; as well as repairs
and maintenance of existing
Irrigation and Bore Hole
installations. We pioneered the
usage of 12 Inch Shrub Pop-Up
sprinklers in the Johannesburg area,
and we also were the first to
introduce Quarterly Service
contracts to our clients who
required it.
We offer
a 2 year Guarantee
for
Workmanship; and a 1 year
Guarantee for Materials.
Although local manufacturers
only guarantee their products
for 3 months, we ourselves carry
this Guarantee for a full year,
in tandem with our International
Suppliers.
During the course of our work
over the years, we also do minor
building and painting work, as
well as cleaning of fountains
and water features.
We only
advertise
in the
Johannesburg Yellow Pages, with
our main work area being
Johannesburg North and East,
stretching up to the Bryanston,
Midrand, Fourways and Kyalami
areas. Most of our work is
gleaned from repeat business and
'word of mouth' referrals.
